Storage Instructions and 28 Day Policy

Storage, Handling & Usage Instructions

Correct storage and handling are essential to help maintain product stability and reduce the risk of contamination or degradation.

Refrigerated Storage

Once a product has been reconstituted, it must be kept refrigerated at 2–8°C at all times.

For best storage conditions:

  • Store on the middle shelf of the refrigerator, where the temperature is usually most consistent.
  • Do not store in the fridge door. The temperature changes repeatedly when the door is opened.
  • Keep products away from the back wall or cooling element where they may accidentally freeze.
  • Never freeze reconstituted products.
  • Keep the product protected from direct light, sunlight and heat.
  • Keep products upright where possible.
  • Store away from raw food, liquids and other potential sources of contamination.
  • Where supplied, keep the product inside its original packaging or protective box while refrigerated.
  • Avoid repeatedly removing the product from the refrigerator for long periods.
  • Do not leave refrigerated products in hot cars, direct sunlight, near radiators or at room temperature for extended periods.

Before Handling

Always handle products with clean hands and in a clean environment.

Before each use:

  • Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
  • Check that the vial or pen appears intact.
  • Inspect the solution before use.
  • Do not use a product if the solution has changed significantly in appearance, contains unexpected particles, appears contaminated or the container has been damaged.
  • Use a new sterile needle/syringe where applicable.
  • Never reuse or share needles.
  • Avoid touching sterile connection points or needle tips.
  • Dispose of used needles safely in an appropriate sharps container.

Handling Reconstituted Products

Once mixed/reconstituted:

  • Keep refrigerated at 2–8°C.
  • Handle gently.
  • Do not vigorously shake the vial or pen.
  • Avoid unnecessary movement, heat exposure or repeated temperature changes.
  • Return the product to the refrigerator promptly after handling.
  • Keep the product securely capped or protected when not in use.

Provexa Labs 28-Day Policy

All reconstituted or mixed products supplied by Provexa Labs should be used within 28 days from the date of reconstitution, unless product-specific information states otherwise.

We recommend recording the date of reconstitution so that the 28-day period can be tracked accurately.

After 28 days, any remaining reconstituted product should be discarded, even if product remains in the vial or pen.

The 28-day period assumes that the product has been:

  • Continuously refrigerated at 2–8°C
  • Protected from excessive light and heat
  • Handled hygienically
  • Kept away from contamination
  • Not frozen
  • Not stored in the refrigerator door
  • Not subjected to repeated or prolonged temperature fluctuations

Correct storage cannot be guaranteed once a product has been delivered and is in the customer's possession.

Provexa Labs cannot accept responsibility for loss of product quality, contamination, degradation or damage caused by incorrect storage, handling, reconstitution or use.

If you believe a product has been stored incorrectly, frozen, overheated, contaminated or otherwise compromised, do not continue using it.

Important

Always read any product-specific information supplied with your order. Storage requirements can vary between products.
